New social music startup Stereotypes looking to hire UX designers who love music

Hi guys,

Eric here, CTO of Stereotypes (stereotypes.fm). We're a music social network, a home for your taste in music, and the best place to share music recommendations online. We're based in New York City but are relocating to Austin in the leadup to SXSW and as part of the Dreamit Austin accelerator program.

We are looking for a user experience designer with both iOS and web design experience. Experience working on music and social networking products is important, as is a broad understanding of the popular music products available today. You understand the appeal of Pinterest, the nuances of Facebook privacy settings, rock out in Spotify, Rdio or your hyper-organized iTunes library. You’ll work with our 3-person Engineering Team to help define, build, iterate on and launch features and products.

Our two technical cofounders bring experience from major consumer internet businesses like Shazam, Google and Etsy. We’ve completed our first round of angel funding and are iterating on a public beta at http://stereotypes.fm
