Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: • 4+ years working as an information architect or interaction designer focused on needs based design within marketing experiences across digital channels
• Well-versed in user-centered design methods.

• Experience conducting competitive reviews, leading to strategic insights and recommendations for our clients and their online properties.

• Thorough understanding of common web, UI, interaction and digital interface concepts and conventions. 
• Excellent verbal, written, analytical and process-driven skills.

• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and deliverables at a time.

• Experience providing IA documentation, such as use cases, interaction models, site maps, wireframes, storyboards and workflows.

• Comfortable working with multi-disciplinary teams and clients- with a varying level of technical understanding.

• Experienced in and eager to work beyond the web site with emerging mediums, specifically mobile, social, gaming and in-store components.

• Strong background in understanding and setting business, user and technical requirements in collaboration with team
• Proficient in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Visio and Microsoft Office.

• Understanding of client and server side development frameworks and platforms, including Flash, xHTML, JavaScript, database dependencies and CMS environments
• Client and/or agency experience a plus.

Job Description:

We are looking for a passionate experienced information architect that is wants to push how needs based design integrates and drives marketing. The perfect candidate will be an educator by nature and comfortable rolling up their sleeves and able to deliver against the IA skills and requirements listed below. This person should feel comfortable moving from explaining things in highly technical terms as well as be able to break down the ideas and concepts into laymen’s terms depending on what is most appropriate for the client or team. This person should be highly collaborative by nature and comfortable working as a team player in an creative entrepreneurial environment.

Information Architects are responsible for information organization, navigation, interaction design, and business/user process engineering by applying user-centered design methods and interaction knowledge or emerging mediums to translate user needs, business objectives, and technology capabilities. Working with Strategy, Creative and Engineering teams to identify and define project scope and requirements. IAs lead tracks of work, work directly with clients, and create and advocate experience planning points of view both for the agency and for the client.

Responsibilities:

• User experience audits and heuristic evaluations 
• Concept and define information and site structure and hierarchy

• Develop use-cases 

• User profiling and scenarios 

• Develop sitemaps, user-flows, wireframes and storyboards
• Solution prototyping 

• User research/user testing 

• Present concepts and progress to clients 

• Plan and estimate for projects ranging from complex consumer websites to simpler marketing microsites 

• Participate or lead heuristic reviews of web sites or design artifacts 

• Perform competitive and gap analyses 

• Supporting design and engineering in their work processes
