Designers Consider "Responsive" versus "Adaptive"

The Austin IxDA met last night at the expanding headquarters of Crimson of the Advisory Board Group (12357-C Riata Parkway) to hear Chad Currie of Smith & Robot advocate for Responsive design in user interfaces, from the phone to the pad to the desktop. Mixer Design Group (www.mixerdesign.com) is building out a new creative center at 2220 Hancock Dr. in an urbane lunch and coffee walk-able location with plenty of parking. Help IxDA Austin and other groups help you better in 2012

Last year, we asked you to spend five minutes and fill out a survey. Last week, we published the results (.zip file with PDFs).

This year, the survey is back with fewer questions and better data collection, and a few other groups -- Refresh Austin, Austin UPA and STC Austin -- are actively participating. Filling it out will give these local groups (and others in the future)…
